NT LABS Satus: Rapid Biofilter Establishment and Ammonia Removal
NT LABS Satus is an advanced biological tool for fish keepers that streamlines the process of cycling a new aquarium. By utilizing a unique blend of heterotrophic and autotrophic organisms, it rapidly converts toxic ammonia and nitrite into nitrates. Unlike traditional bacteria, the innovative Satus organism can degrade organic compounds that standard bacteria cannot, preventing the accumulation of waste and ensuring a healthier ecosystem from day one.
This concentrated formula is designed for versatility, working effectively in both freshwater and marine environments. Because it operates under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions, it provides a comprehensive cleaning action that stabilizes water quality and protects sensitive aquatic life from the dangers of an unstable nitrogen cycle.
Specifications of NT LABS Satus
- Compatibility: Freshwater and Marine aquariums, including ponds.

How to Use This Beneficial Bacteria
- Calculate Volume: Determine your aquarium volume in litres (Length x Width x Depth in cm / 1000).
- Prepare System: Shake the bottle thoroughly before use and turn off all UV or Ozone sterilizers.
- Initial Dosage: On Day 1, add the product at a rate of 5 ml per 50 L of water.
- Maintenance Dosage: For the next 7 consecutive days, add the product at a rate of 5 ml per 100 L of water.
- System Restart: Turn the UV/Ozone systems back on 2 hours after adding Satus.
- Adding Livestock: If the dosage is maintained for the full 7 days, fish and other aquatic species can be added at any point.
Care & Maintenance Tips
- Routine Maintenance: Add Satus monthly at a rate of 5 ml per 100 L to maintain improved biofilter function.
- Critical Intervals: Apply a dose (5 ml/100 L) when introducing new fish, after cleaning filters, after water changes, or following medication treatments.
- Complementary Use: Use Optimus alongside Satus during start-up and regular maintenance for optimal results.
- Water Testing: Regularly monitor your water parameters using NT Labs Test Kits to ensure stability.
- Storage: Store the bottle in a cool, dry place and keep it out of reach of children.
- Filtering: Remember that Satus is a biological additive and must be used alongside a physical aquarium filter, not as a replacement.
