Gold Neon Tetra | Paracheirodon innesi brings a bright golden stripe and peaceful schooling movement to a well-established freshwater aquarium. This gold colour variant of the Neon Tetra stays small, reaching around 3.8–5 cm as an adult, and spends much of its time swimming through the middle and upper levels of the tank.
Keep Gold Neon Tetras in a group of six or more with similarly sized, peaceful fish. They feel most at home in a mature, fully cycled aquarium with dense planting, open swimming space, and hiding places among plants, driftwood, rocks, or caves. Their omnivorous diet can include quality flakes or pellets, alongside small foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. Acclimate them gradually, as they can be sensitive to changes in water conditions.

Its shimmering yellow-gold stripe catches the light as the fish move together through the middle and upper levels of the aquarium. Peaceful and sociable, this small tetra suits a calm community tank with other non-aggressive fish of similar size.
Gold Neon Tetras are schooling fish and do best in a group of six or more. Provide a mature, well-cycled aquarium with dense plants, open swimming areas, and sheltered spots among driftwood, rocks, or caves. Their colours may appear less vivid at night; this is normal.
