Usage

• Setup: Connect an air pump to the inlet, submerge upright, and ensure the weighted base sits flat on substrate.
• Aeration & Filtration: Air bubbles rise through the sponge, drawing in water for mechanical cleaning and providing a surface for bacterial colonization.
• Ideal for Breeding: Gentle filtration ensures shrimp and fry aren’t pulled in, while aiding oxygenation.
• Maintenance: Clean sponges monthly by rinsing in aquarium water to preserve beneficial bacteria.
• Tank Compatibility: Works well in planted, shrimp, fry, and community tanks up to ~10 gal.
• Performance Tips: For larger tanks or higher bioload, use multiple units or add an air stone splitter for improved flow.
