Care & Maintenance Tips
- During regular filter maintenance, remove the TCWS Net Bag and gently rinse it, along with its contents, in old aquarium water to preserve beneficial bacterial colonies.
- If replacing media, thoroughly clean the empty bag under running water to remove any accumulated detritus before refilling with new media.
- Inspect the mesh fabric and closure mechanism regularly for any signs of wear, tear, or damage.
- Replace the net bag if it shows significant wear or holes, as compromised mesh can allow media to escape and potentially harm your filtration system or aquarium inhabitants.
- Avoid using tap water treated with chlorine/chloramine directly on biological media within the bag, as it can kill beneficial bacteria.
- Do not use any soaps, detergents, or chemical cleaners on the net bag, as residues can be highly toxic to aquatic life.
