Galaxy Rasbora | Danio margaritatus, also known as the Celestial Pearl Danio, is a small, peaceful freshwater fish with eye-catching colour and quick, lively movements. Growing to around 2–3 cm, it is well suited to smaller aquariums and makes a striking addition to a planted tank.
Keep Galaxy Rasboras in a group of at least six. They do best with similarly sized, peaceful tankmates, such as small danios, rasboras, tetras and smaller catfish. Avoid larger or aggressive fish, which may stress them or see them as prey.
A densely planted aquarium provides cover and hiding places. Feed a varied omnivorous diet that includes small foods suited to their size. For their care, maintain a water temperature of 24–26°C, pH of 5.7–7.5 and hardness of 2–10 °NK.
