FZone SS Canister Filter with Adjustable Flow for Planted Aquariums

Designed for planted aquariums, the FZone SS Canister Filter combines a 304 stainless steel canister with a built-in pump for continuous water circulation and mechanical and biological filtration. Its external canister format provides space for filter media, while a digital controller lets you select from 10 flow levels to suit your aquarium and filtration setup.

The filter is available in 5L, 10L, and 15L capacities, with recommended aquarium lengths of up to 60 cm, 90 cm, and 120 cm, respectively. It has a maximum rated flow of 1500 L/h (396 GPH), 16 mm inlet and outlet connections, and a quick-connect design with ball valves. Filter media is not included and must be added before operation.

Controller Functions

• At startup, the pump runs at maximum power for 30 seconds and stops for 3 seconds. This cycle repeats three times before normal operation begins. The filter then starts at Flow Level 5 by default.

• Use the plus and minus buttons to select one of the 10 flow levels.

• Feeding Mode pauses filtration temporarily. The selected flow level flashes on the display, and the filter resumes automatically after 10 minutes at the previous setting.

• After an abnormal shutdown, such as a power outage, the filter repeats its startup cycle when switched on. Press the power button to skip this cycle if needed.

How to Set Up This Canister Filter

1. Release the lid clips one by one and remove the filter bucket lid.

2. Place the filter media support frame, filter media, and filter cotton inside the bucket in the order appropriate for your filtration setup. These materials are not included. Fill the bucket with water to approximately 80–90% of its capacity.

3. Replace the lid and fasten all clips securely.

4. Attach the quick-insert ball valves to the inlet and outlet ports, then connect the inlet and outlet hoses.

5. Align the arrows on the controller cable connectors, insert the cable, and rotate the threaded connector to lock it.

6. Connect the power adapter, switch on the unit, and adjust the flow level as needed.

Care & Maintenance Tips

• Follow the setup instructions and ensure the bucket is filled before powering on the filter.

• Keep the inlet and outlet pipes clear to support proper water flow.

• Unplug the unit before opening the canister for routine maintenance.

• Do not run the filter dry or operate it with insufficient water or blocked pipes.

• Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the product without authorization; unauthorized work may affect warranty coverage.
